Toppled Tree Knocks Out Power In Cliffside Park

CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. -- A tree toppled by Monday morning's winds downed a main utility line in Cliffside Park, knocking out power across the town.

A motorist afraid of being electrocuted had to be coaxed from his car after the mishap on Winterburn Grove near Edgewater Road.

Only a few customers initially reported outages.
