YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: No serious injuries were reported in a Cliffside Park fire, but the son of one of the tenants collapsed on the street and had to be rushed to the hospital after the blaze was brought under control.
The fire began on the first floor of 441 Gorge Road around 2 p.m.
Firefighters got to it quickly, keeping the blaze contained, but fire crawled up the walls, sending smoke to the third floor of the three-story building.
A dozen or so cats and dogs were rescued.
The hospitalized man’s condition couldn’t be determined late this afternoon.
