Marie McCoshen, 92, Fairview Resident

FAIRVIEW, N.J. -- Marie McCoshen, of Fairview, died on Sunday, March 12. She was 92.

Before she retired, McCoshen had a long and successful career as a bookkeeper, working at Tootsie Roll in Hoboken as well as David Burr in Union City. 

"While living in North Bergen, she was involved in local politics and proudly manned the election booths in her later years," information from the funeral home noted. "In recent years, Marie was an enthusiastic member of the Fairview Seniors, enjoying frequent bus trips to Atlantic City and the Poconos."

McCoshen is survived by her children, Donna Gleeson and her husband Bill of Randolph, and Janet Armstrong and her husband John of Guam; grandchildren Summer Galarpe and Haley, Liam and Sean Gleeson; and great-grandchildren. 

She is also survived by her nieces and nephew, Diane, Felix, Joanne, Mina, Jill, Jennifer and Cheryl, and her brother, Donald Marcone of Ridgefield Park. 

McCoshen was preceded by her husband, Claude McCoshen; parents Nicholas and Philomena Marcone; and siblings Nicky, Rose, Nancy, Jenny and Frankie. 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, at A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, 495 Anderson Ave., in Cliffside Park. A mass of will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at Our Lady of Grace Church, in Fairview. Interment will follow, at Fairview Cemetery.
