Juliet 'Frieda' Marchesani, 97, Of Cliffside Park

CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. -- Juliet "Frieda" Marchesani, 97, of Cliffside Park, died Oct. 13. 

She was born in Pawtucket, R.I. and moved to Union City, N.J. as a young child. Born to Sophie and Elias Nasif, she was the youngest of six. 

At an early age, she worked for William Nafash as a seamstress in Union City. In her later years, she worked for the Barbara Ann Shops in Palisade Park. 

She moved to Cliffside Park in 1956. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent; parents, Sophie and Elias; and siblings, George, Hilda, Victoria, Fred and Elizabeth. 

She is survived by her son, Vincent and his wife Annette; and two granddaughters, Melissa and Jessica. 

There will be a funeral at 8 a.m. Monday at the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, 495 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park, thence to Epiphany R.C. Church in Cliffside Park, where a 9 a.m. funeral Mass will be offered. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery in Paramus. The family will receive their friends from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in her memory.
