Bergen County has become quite the craft beer bar scene, stepping up its suds game and offering residents a host of “hoppy” options. We asked for the best in the county; you gave us your picks. Now, five finalists are competing in our “DVlicious Best Craft Beer Bar in Bergen County” contest. Each has been profiled this week.
Raise your glass and drink in the following; then click on your favorite. You can vote multiple times, albeit once per day.
Voting ends 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24. The winner will receive a framed DVlicious certificate as well as the pride in knowing it has raised the bar in Bergen.
Number of Craft Beers: 10 on tap; 2 hand-pumps.
What Makes It Liquid Gold: Andy's kegs are rotating constantly. The staff takes pride in sporting "the cleanest taps around," according to its website. New beers arrive daily, so customers are encouraged to check the website for what's pouring. Among some of the brews recently in house: Great Lakes Nosferatu, Muskoka Moonlight Kettle Longest Day, Neshaminy Creek Trauger Pilsner, New Belgium Lips of Faith Le Terroir Sour Ale and Rodenbach Fruitage.
The bar is also big on events; on Wednesday, Oct. 26 there will be a Two Roads Brewery promotion.
