RIDGEFIELD, NJ -- The Ridgefield Public Library plans a pair of 10th anniversary celebrations on Saturday, Nov. 7 that will include local residents and various artists.
"Jerry and Arlene Romaine...are a wonderful couple who are performing songs from the American songbook, so it should be a special event,” Library Director Jane Forte said.
Festivities will begin with a daytime event for children and families with Teresa E. Harris, author of “The Perfect Place” and “Summer Jackson: Growing Up.” The library invited Korean folk dancers and a magician and are hoping to find a deejay for the event. The Friends of the Ridgefield Library will offer recipes and food tasting sessions.
At 5 p.m., the doors reopen for an evening of refreshments, a 50/50, and a gift basket tricky tray from area businesses. Admission is $20 per person and comes with one free raffle ticket, with all of the proceeds going to new books and other library uses.
