Ridgefield Students Turkey Trot To Raise Funds For PTA

RIDGEFIELD, N.J. — Students from three Ridgefield schools will each conduct Turkey Trot on Wednesday to raise money for field trips, events and other needs.

The Ridgefield PTA is sponsoring Thanksgiving Eve Turkey Trots at three schools.

Students are asking family and friends to sponsor them with a flat donation of $5 or more before they set off in their gymnasiums, courtyards and parking lots.

“It’s something fun to bring them together, and it is fun for them to ask others for donations,” said Tammy Martinelli, the Ridgefield PTA's corresponding secretary.

Students will walk with their grade levels. Their older counterparts will help them out.
