The man in the sketch knocked on the door around 4 a.m. last Oct. 14, then grabbed the 72-year-old resident who answered and forced her inside, Detective Lt. Robert Bracken said.

After pulling a knife, he held her, an 82-year-old resident and two other family members at bay "while he searched the home and demanded money," Bracken said.

He eventually fled without anything or hurting anyone, the lieutenant said.

Evidence was recovered a short distance away, and a composite sketch was released.

"We have acquired some information since the release, however, are still asking for the public's assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the sketch," Bracken said Tuesday.

If you see him, know him, recognize him or have information that could help the investigation, call Clifton PD: (973) 470-5900.
