Recognize HIM? Cliffside Park Police Investigate Church Donation Box Thefts

CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. -- A brazen thief snatched money from a church donation box not once but twice -- including on Good Friday -- said Cliffside Park police, who gave Daily Voice surveillance photos of a person of interest they're hoping to find.

Anyone who sees, knows or has information about the man in the photos is asked to contact the Cliffside Park Police Detective Bureau at (201) 313-2085 or the CPPD main desk at (201) 945-3600.

The man in the photos was at the scene during both thefts at the Church of the Epiphany -- on April 14 and again last Wednesday, authorities said.

"The photos are nice and clear," Police Chief Richard Gaito told Daily Voice. "We're hoping someone recognizes him, or he comes in to headquarters. We'd like to speak with him."
