Gina Damario-Aubin on Tuesday was charged with two counts of assault by auto, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and driving while intoxicated through a school zone, Captain Laurence W. Martin said.

Blood test results revealed that Damario-Aubin, 58, was drunk and possibly on drugs at the time of the five vehicle crash on Ratzer Road, police said.

A GoFundMe was created for Matthew Polifonte, who was in a coma for his 10th birthday following the crash. There has been no word on his current condition.

Damario-Aubin was charged and processed by the Wayne Police Department and released on a summons in compliance with recently enacted bail reform guidelines.
