Man Struck By Sedan In Edgewater, Police Investigate

EDGEWATER, N.J. -- A 29-year-old Cliffside Park man was hospitalized after being struck by a car on Old River Road in Edgewater yesterday.

Detectives from Edgewater and the Bergen County Prosecutor's Fatal Accident Investigation Unit were looking into the events that led to the 1998 Acura Integra, driven by a 33-year-old Newburg, N.Y. man, hitting the victim around 12:15 p.m., Police Chief William Skidmore told Daily Voice this morning.

Unconfirmed reports were that the men know one another.

The victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.
