FAIRVIEW, N.J. -- A Fairview police officer transporting an accused donation and tip jar thief to headquarters caught another suspect with a hypodermic needle and bogus IDs, authorities said.
Detective Sgt. Michael Martic was headed back to headquarters from Union City with Jacob J. Angarita when he spotted Carmen Christina Gomez, 41, of Carteret "hunched over and swaying" on Desoto Place, Police Chief Martin Kahn said.
Gonzalez was taken to headquarters, processed and released pening a court hearing.
