Fairview Police Bust Fort Lee Man On Heroin, Oxy Charges

FAIRVIEW, N.J. -- A routine Fairview police traffic stop led to the arrest of a Fort Lee man on drug charges.

Christopher Alvarez, 31, was carrying 72 folds of heroin, four Oxycodone pills, $788 in cash and drug paraphernalia when he was stopped by Officer Nicholas Leto just after noon Saturday in front of Lincoln School on Anderson Avenue, Deputy Police Chief Martin Kahn told Daily Voice.

Alvarez was charged with various drug distribution and possession charges and was issued several motor vehicle summonses, Kahn said.

He was being held on $35,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.
