Township officials seized both of their computers from Giunchini’s office yesterday, the source said. A second source with knowledge of the circumstances confirmed the incident. Unconfirmed reports are that the exchanges involved racy photographs of the secretary.
A receptionist at his office today said the married father of three, who lives in Cliffside Park, is on medical leave. Records show he made a base salary of $123,468 for the township last year, ranking him among its highest-paid officials. Giunchini also isNorth Hudson Rescue Co. 1 and North Hudson Apparatus Chief.
“All we can say at this time is that the township is conducting an internal review of this matter,” North Bergen township spokesperson Philip Swibinski told CLIFFVIEWPILOT.COM Wednesday afternoon.
