Anthony A. Sable, 27, was caught coming out of a Kearney Avenue home after he threw a brick through a window to get in shortly before 3 p.m. Friday, Police Chief Richard Gaito said Monday.

He was carrying a seven-inch folding knife, the chief said.

A block or so away, police briefly detained and released Jonathan E. Emiliano.

The Bergen County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation collected evidence at the scene.

Meanwhile, police charged Sable with conspiracy, attempted burglary, criminal mischief and pair of weapons possession counts.

He remained held Monday on $50,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.

An arrest warrant was issued for Emiliano.
