YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A needle found at a Cliffside Park grammar school sparked an investigation that led to the arrest of a high school special education teacher on heroin and prescription drug charges, borough authorities confirmed this afternoon.
The needle was found on Friday inside the No. 6 School, where 29-year-old Ryan Fogarty of Ridgefield previously taught, borough spokesman William Maer told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon.
Cliffside Park police arrested Fogarty last night and released him on $10,000 bail pending a court date, he said.
Maer said Fogarty is charged with illegal possession of prescription pills, heroin, hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia.
An investigation was continuing, he said.
