EDGEWATER, N.J. -- An employee at a commercial building along the Hudson River in Edgewater found a bomb threat note in a unisex bathroom Friday morning, authorities said.
Nothing was found after borough police evacuated the building at 115 River Road and the Bergen County Sheriff's Bomb Squad and K-9 unit searched it following the call just after 10:30 a.m., Police Chief William Skidmore told Daily Voice.
"The note was found by an employee who worked in one of the several offices that occupy the second floor," Skimore said. "The bathroom is a unisex facility in the hallway with open access.
"The note stated that the bomb would detonate at 3 p.m."
Borough firefighters and EMTs also responded.
The building was declared safe at 11:50 a.m.
