Children in Jessica Luciano's class, with help from occupational therapist Nancy Haystrand, "made our badges and wrote letters thanking us for protecting them," Capt. James Sepp told Daily Voice on Friday.

"The ornaments are prominently displayed on our front door and their letters are fixed to the door in our dispatch center," Sepp said.

"After the new year, when school is back in session, we'll pay a visit and personally thank them for their thoughtful words and gifts," the captain said.
