EDGEWATER, N.J. -- Martin Moylan, a resident of Edgewater, died Friday, April 29. He was 77.
He was born in County Galway, Ireland, to Delia and Michael Moylan. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1958, settling in Edgewater.
He was a well-established Realtor in Bergen County and was also employed as a data processing manager at Unilever (Best Foods) in Englewood Cliffs. He was a longtime member of the Bergen Irish Association, eventually serving a term as president from (2001-02) and being honored as the Man of the Year in (2003). He served with the Army National Guard. He was also a longtime supporter of Bergen Catholic High School.
He is survived by his children, Christopher and Melissa Moylan; siblings, Daniel, Mary Moylan, Evelyn Donoghue, Kate Locke, Margaret Williams and Peter.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Patrick and Michael Joseph Moylan; and his sister, Della Carroll.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 1, from 2-6 p.m. at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., Dumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, May 2, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Dumont. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Tenafly.
