CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. -- George L. Barbieri, 88, of Cliffside Park, died Nov. 1.
He was born Oct. 13, 1928, in Englewood and before retiring he was a chemist at Unilever. He also was a former councilman in Cliffside Park, a member of the Cliffside Park Men's Club and a parishioner of Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church in Fairview.
He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (nee) Siracuse; and parents, Louis and Margaret Barbieri.
He is survived by his children, Lisa Barbieri and Dave Riderstoff and the late Louis and his wife Karen Barbieri.
A prayer service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, 495 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park. Interment will be private. The family will receive their friends from 4-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
