FAIRVIEW, N.J. -- Anthony H. Pizzo, a resident of Fairview, died Sunday, April 24. He was 83.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University, and served as chairman of the Board of Adjustment in Fairview, was the District Governor, member of Unico, member of The Elks of Ridgefield Park, and member of the American Legion of Ridgefield.
He is survived by his wife Marion Pizzo; children Barbara, David, Raymond, Paul Pizzo, and Kelley O’Connor; stepchildren Dee and James Gaul, grandchildren L. Joseph Melendez, Sunni Roberts, James and Michele Gaul, Lauren, Christopher, Raymond and Scott Pizzo; and four great-grandchildren
He was predeceased by a stepdaughter Yvonne (Goldie) Johnson.
The funeral will take place Thursday, April 28, at 9:45 a.m. from the McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 395 DeLanoPlace, Fairview. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4-8 p.m. Cremation will be private.
