EDGEWATER, N.J. — A petition intending to preserve a 100-year-old church in Edgewater has drawn the attention of the borough's mayor and hundreds of other residents.
With more than 300 signatures so far , the petition claims that the church was recently sold and will soon be demolished.
The petition suggests continuing the demolition of the Church's hall but preserving the building's facade as a historical site.
Edgewater Mayor Michael McPartland emailed the creator of the petition demonstrating his support in declaring it a historical site.
