The Animal Protection League of New Jersey and the League of Humane Voters of New Jersey asked the mayor and council Feb. 16 to consider non-lethal geese control methods, said northjersey.com.

Borough officials tried other methods in the past that failed and blame the geese for causing traffic tie-ups, ruining lawns and lowering the quality of life in Edgewater, reports northjersey.com.
