Demolition Begins On 100-Year-Old Edgewater Church

Destroying the Lord's Grace Church, formerly the First Presbyterian Church, would be "changing the very existence of our gem of a town into something many long-term residents and families no longer recognize," neighbor and petition founder Jabeau Lopez said of the Undercliff Avenue building.

"This church built of stone, with intricate stained glass windows, and beautiful steeple has been silently sold and is about to meet its demise within the next 10 days to pave way for new condos that have been littering our cherished Edgewater," Lopez added.
