At Thursday’s council meeting a stream of residents spoke up against building a tower on the Fire Company 3 property off Masonicus Road, saying it would hurt property values, the story says.

Improving coverage is a public safety issue, as police officers’ car laptops have gone dark in the area, according to the story.

Township officials have met with a company that installs towers and a provider to identify network need and analyze other potential sites for the tower, and expect results in the next couple weeks, the story says.
