BOGOTA, N.J. -- Happy Birthday to Bogota’s Vin Scully!

Scully, a previous resident of Bogota, turns 89 Tuesday.

Scully is a sportscaster best known for his play-by-play of Los Angeles Dodgers games.

Scully has been with the Dodgers for 66 seasons – the longest time any broadcaster has been with a single team in professional sports history.

While living in Bogota with his mother, 25-year-old Scully broadcast the 1953 World Series, making him the youngest man to broadcast a World Series game.

Scully was honored by Bogota in 1995 with the naming of Oscar E. Olsen Park and Vin Scully Field.
