He turns 48 on Satuday.
Combs, who was born in Harlem, N.Y., Nov.4, 1969, grew up in Mount Vernon, N.Y., recently put his $8.5 million gated Alpine manse up for sale.
The multi-talented Combs is also an actor, record producer and entrepreneur.
He founded Bad Boy Records in 1993, after working as a talent director for Uptown Records. Among the many superstars he signed up was the late Christopher George Latore Wallace, whose stage names included The Notorious B.I.G. and Biggie Smalls.
The Grammy Award winner’s debut album, “No Way Out,” released in 1997, went platinum seven times. More recently, Combs formed the group Diddy – Dirty Money. Its album, “Last Train to Paris,” was also critically acclaimed and financially successful.
The producer of MTV’s Making the Band, also won two MTV Video Music Awards.
Combs also has clothing lines, two restaurants and a movie production company.
Forbes estimated Combs’ net worth at $735 million this year.
