Edgewater Prepares Memorial Ceremony For Murder Victims

EDGEWATER, N.J. — Second grade moms in Edgewater are inviting the community to remember Mellie and Melisa Stasko, the daughter and mother who were slain around the Christmas holiday in a domestic violence incident on Friday, Jan. 15.

The community is asking members to meet at 5 p.m. at the river walk behind Wholefoods where the group will walk together towards The Windsor where the two lived and perished. 

Community members are invited to bring candles, cards, flowers and mementos to the 15-minute ceremony. 

Individuals may park in the Hilliard Avenue municipal parking lot. 

If there is inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for Tueday, Jan. 19 at 5 p.m.
