Volunteers will assist with cage cleaning, dog walking, fundraising, special events, foster homes for cats/dogs, marketing, grant writing and more.
There are morning, afternoon and evening hour shifts Monday through Sunday.
“We are here to take in strays from 11 locations and we help out in other local areas," Shelter Director Vincent Ascolese said in a statement. "In addition, we will also pull animals on a euthanasia list when room is available from other shelters in New Jersey and from other states."
