Bogota Vet's 'Combat Paper & Beyond' Comes To Teaneck

BOGOTA, N.J. -- Army veteran and Bogota resident Frank Wagner will be displaying his art at Teaneck's Puffin Cultural Forum in late June through early July, and the show's grand opening is Saturday, June 18.

Wagner's exhibit, "Combat Paper & Beyond," will run from Saturday, June 18, through Saturday, July 9.

He was a radio operator in Vietnam in 1964-65. Having survived combat operations in that conflict, he joined Vietnam Veterans Against the War, in Teaneck, in 1968 -- and he's remained an activist. In addition to being a member of Veterans for Peace and Warrior Writers, he's also a member of the Teaneck Community Chorus.

Wagner attended the New York Institute of Photography and the School of Visual Arts from 1968-71. He's a photographer, artist and poet. His work as appeared in regional libraries and other venues, and has won awards in VA art contests.

The show opening will begin at 4 p.m. The Puffin Cultural Forum is located at 20 Puffin Way, in Teaneck.
