Meet Teen Olympian In Ridgewood

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Olympian Laurie Hernandez will be in Ridgewood on Jan. 22 to sign a copy of her new book, "I Got This."

The 16-year-old, who recently won "Dancing With The Stars," took gold in the team event and silver on the balance beam in the 2016 Summer Olympics.

The New Jersey native was nicknamed the "Human Emoji" for her wide-eyed and animated expressions.

Hernandez' new book explores her dream of becoming an Olympian and what it took to win. 

Laurie Hernandez will hold her book signing at Bookends Bookstore on E. Ridgewood Ave., Jan. 22 at 1 p.m.
