BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. -- It's lobster season, which means it's time to indulge in plump lobster rolls, piled high on soft buns drizzled with creamy, tangy, buttery flavors.
All of which begs the question: Where do you go when you're in a seafood medley type of mood? We've listed some spots below but would love your thoughts on area favorites.
- East Coast Burger Company, Ridgewood: Light mayo and special seasonings make the lobster roll a perfect summer dish. It's served New England style with cole slaw and a pickle.
- Jack's Lobster Shack, Edgewater: Lobster is practically a religon here where you'll find two kinds of rolls: "Maine style:" Served cold with a touch of mayo on a grill top split bun or "Connecticut style:" Warm with butter and lemon on a grilled top spilt bun.
- Legal Sea Foods, Paramus: Freshly shucked native lobster, celery mayo, and a brioche bun make this meal a perennial fav.
