Relay For Life is a walking event in which the community comes together to celebrate the survivors, remember loved ones lost and fight back against cancer.

Honor those battling cancer and commemorate those taken by the disease by dedicating luminaria. These are customizable paper bags containing votive candles that are transformed and illuminated after dark. They can be purchased for as little as $10 online now or in-store at the Gap and Pier 1 Imports at City Place.

Here is the schedule of events:

5-6 p.m. – Registration under the big white tent and luminaria customization

6-6:30 p.m. – Relay warm-ups led by Can Do Fitness

6:30 p.m. – Opening ceremony in front of the Gap

7-8 p.m. – Survivor/caregiver dessert reception in Survivor Tent

7-10 p.m. – Activities such as crafts, face painting and mission-related games

9 p.m. – Luminaria ceremony
