The seminar will offer information about what’s new in the home buying and mortgage market. The program takes place from 7–8:30 p.m.
There will be two guest speakers, Lisa Ashkenas, Senior Loan Officer with NJ Lenders Corp. in Little Falls, and Vanda Ondrus, Realtor Associate with Keller Williams City Life Realty in Hoboken. They will provide a thorough guide to educate consumers who are renting on how they can plan to transition to homeownership.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions and learn about the home buying process, as well as the many mortgage products that are available. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet industry professionals who can provide support throughout the home-buying process and make it less intimidating. Attendees will walk away with a deeper understanding of how the money they are spending on rent can easily be applied toward homeownership instead.
Ashkenas will discuss down payment requirements, the difference between an adjustable rate and a fixed rate mortgage, and the advantages of buying a home over renting. She will answer questions attendees about the mortgage process.
Ondrus will instruct attendees on the benefits and advantages of working with a Realtor during the home buying process. She is committed to alleviating the confusion that first time home buyers may face and will discuss some of the common myths many renters have regarding their beliefs on home buying.
Seating is limited and advance registration is requested. There is no cost to attend; light refreshments will be served.
