The paper shredding program complements efforts already in place to recycle electronics, tires and hazardous materials, according to Mayor Thomas Calabrese.

Those who attend do not need to remove paper clips, staples or paper board binder covers on their items.

The event is for personal documents only. Other paper products will not be accepted.

Non-confidential papers, including hardcover books, magazines and newspapers can be disposed of through the municipal recycling program, Calabrese said.
