Now in its second year, the pet- and family-friendly event to benefit Pet ResQ will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the west end of the promenade.
Pet ResQ was founded by Robyn Urman, a Tenafly hair dresser with a passion for pooches who more often than not pulls from her pocket to rescue, house and care for the canines.
"The whole idea is to get people to adopt a pet," said Erik Bucci, publicist and event coordinator for City Place.
The program will feature several dogs ready to be rescued, as well as a showcase of local pet-centric businesses. Then there's the Pooch Parade, during which some of Bergen County’s most fashionable pups strut their stuff to live music, with prizes. There will also be "pup-parazzi" snapping photos.
